Kirby Collection Adds Retail Tenants

This gorgeous Residential High Rise just got even better!

Pinstripes was the first retail tenant announced, a dining and entertainment venue that will occupy 33,830 square feet when it opens in the Kirby Collection in June 2018. It will be the first Houston location for Pinstripes, which features bowling, bocce ball and other activities. The location also will have outdoor fire pits and a bistro serving Italian and American cuisine.

Atelier Isabelle Rose – a high-end luxury hair salon, will occupy 3,855 square feet.
Lukoil – U.S. affiliate of a Russian energy trading corporation and Moscow-based.

Most recently The Kirby Collection, a 1 million-square-foot mixed-use development that recently delivered in Upper Kirby, will be home to the U.S. affiliate of a Russian energy trading corporation. Moscow-based Lukoil signed a lease for 5,900 square feet in the Kirby Collection’s 13-story, 186,000-square-foot Class A office building. Lukoil will occupy the building’s ninth floor and is expected to relocate in May.

Galleria 30-Story Luxury Hotel and Residential Tower Planned

David Contis, president of Indiana-based owner Simon Malls, said Wednesday that the proposed tower, with 225 hotel units and 75 to 100 condominiums, would be the culmination of an ongoing redevelopment program at the 46-year-old shopping mecca, The Galleria Mall. It’s planned on the site of Macy’s. They plan to build an attached 30-story luxury hotel and residential tower despite increasing competition for high-end retail and a slowing energy economy that has dampened demand for high-end lodging across the city. Construction on the new Galleria hotel-condo project is expected to begin next year and take two years to complete. Contis said the company is in negotiations with several hotel brands. The announcement of the new Galleria project also comes as the hotel market in downtown Houston is working to wrap up several projects in time for the city to host next year’s Super Bowl. Two high-end hotels, the Marriott Marquis and the Hotel Alessandra, are under construction near the George R.
